The Tired Lands,

            where no man dares to sleep....

Leah is used to risking her life every day. As Captain of the Border Guard, its part of her job description. For the past year she has fought tooth and nail to protect the town of Outpost from the malicious beasts of the Tired Lands, but that all changes with the mysterious arrival of the Midnight Train. The train is carrying precious cargo to the great city of Sulligard, and Leah has been hired to protect it on its dangerous journey. But why the sudden, unusual onslaught of savage beasts? And who are these city officials, that hold the prestigious air of wizards? Mischief is afoot, and Leah is set on getting to the bottom of it... even if it means putting her life on the line (again.)
